Many people have sleep challenges from time to time and this is normal. Shift workers or people trying to sleep through loud noises or traffic, can have problems sleeping and that is normal too. However, if someone has a persistent challenge with sleep, first we identify which part e.g. start, middle or end. If someone has persistent problems getting to sleep or staying asleep, this usually relates to Anxiety and/or Stress. If someone has persistent problems waking up early this usually relates to Depression or Negative Thinking.
